Community Service Center

"People Helping People"

The Adventist Community Service Center of Fareview Village is sponsored by the Lansdale and Fairview Village Seventh-day Adventist Churches and provides service on a referral basis, year-round, regardless of race or religious affiliation. The center depends solely upon the donations of churches, public and private agencies and individuals. Need is the only condition for eligibility to receive temporary relief in these areas:

  • Food
  • Clothing, Shoes (new and used)
  • Linens, Bedding
  • Baby items (age 0-12mths), needed for layettes
  • Furniture, Household Items (when available)
  • Health Emphasis Screening (when available)
  • Nutrition and CPR Classes (when available)
  • Counseling Seminars (when available)

Adventist Community Services of North America (ACS) is the umbrella organization under which our local churches in the United States, Canada, and Bermuda operate. ACS functions specifically in local towns and is staffed by more than 20,000 volunteers. As disaster relief is a specialized activity each Adventist Community Services center implements individualized assistance programs in response to local needs. In the US, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the American Red Cross have designated ACS as the primary agency, during disasters, to manage the reception and disbursement of all clothing, bedding, furniture, groceries, and other donated items.
